Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to become part of a growing engineering and construction team. If you have a passion for technical drafting, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, or MEP projects, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Mechanical Draftsman, you will play an important role in transforming engineering concepts into clear, accurate, and practical drawings that support successful project delivery. You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, consultants, and project teams on a variety of commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing detailed mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
- Developing HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection layouts based on project requirements.
- Creating and updating drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
- Coordinating with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are accurate and aligned with project specifications.
- Reviewing and revising drawings throughout different stages of project development.
- Assisting with BIM coordination and resolving design clashes when required.
- Ensuring all drawings meet quality standards, client requirements, and industry regulations.
- Supporting project teams by providing timely updates and technical drawing revisions.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Draftsman within engineering, MEP, or construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and drafting standards.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and mechanical services.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in commercial buildings, residential developments, industrial facilities, infrastructure projects, or large-scale MEP installations will be highly valued. Knowledge of BIM processes and multidisciplinary project coordination will be considered an advantage.
