Job Description
We’re currently looking for multiple Safety Officers (HSE Officers) to join our team for ongoing solar and wind energy projects. If you have real on-site experience, especially around overhead powerlines and high-risk environments, this could be a great next step in your career.
In this role, you won’t just be ticking boxes—you’ll be actively involved in keeping teams safe, preventing risks before they happen, and making sure every part of the project runs in line with proper health, safety, and environmental standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out regular site inspections to spot risks and unsafe practices
- Making sure all work follows HSE rules, safety procedures, and legal standards
- Handling risk assessments (JSA/RA) and monitoring high-risk activities
- Overseeing work near overhead powerlines and electrical systems
- Leading toolbox talks, safety briefings, and inductions
- Ensuring workers are properly using PPE at all times
- Preparing and maintaining safety reports and documentation
- Investigating incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions
- Working closely with supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors
- Supporting emergency drills and safety preparedness
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working on solar or wind energy projects
- Strong knowledge of overhead powerline safety
- Valid NEBOSH certification (mandatory)
- A recognized Safety Officer license or certification
- A Bachelor’s degree (Engineering background is a plus)
- Around 2–5 years of relevant HSE experience
- Good understanding of safety standards, audits, and compliance
- Clear communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach
Extra Skills That Help
- Certifications like IOSH, OSHA, or First Aid
- Experience in EPC or large-scale construction projects
- Familiarity with HSE systems and reporting tools
- Confidence in handling real-time safety challenges on-site
