Job Description
We are looking for a Civil Engineer highly skilled with strong technical knowledge, hands-on construction experience, and the ability to manage complex engineering activities in large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects.
This role is ideal for candidates who have extensive experience in oil & gas construction projects and are confident in handling engineering coordination, drawing reviews, shop drawing approvals, and project planning activities. The selected candidate will work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and drafting departments to ensure smooth project execution while maintaining Aramco standards and quality requirements.
As a Civil Engineer, you will be involved in reviewing IFC drawings, resolving technical issues, supporting site execution teams, and ensuring all engineering documentation is properly managed throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates with strong experience in reinforced concrete structures, structural steel works, road engineering, and infrastructure development will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and identify any technical conflicts or missing information.
- Raise technical queries to clients and consultants for clarification whenever required.
- Review and verify shop drawings submitted by subcontractors to ensure compliance with Aramco standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, site teams, and drafting departments for smooth project execution.
- Guide and supervise drafters in preparing:
- Reinforced concrete structure drawings
- Structural steel drawings
- Road and infrastructure drawings
- Architectural finishing drawings
- Steel bar bending schedules (BBS)
- Prepare and implement effective work plans to meet project deadlines.
- Provide technical support during construction activities and site coordination.
- Ensure all engineering work follows project quality standards, safety regulations, and approved procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering and construction projects.
- Strong experience in Saudi Aramco projects is mandatory.
- Good understanding of Aramco shop drawing approval procedures.
- Strong technical knowledge in structural engineering, infrastructure projects, and industrial construction.
- Experience in oil & gas, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple engineering tasks efficiently.
