Full-Time Transportation Operations Coordinator | Control Room Officer
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and dependable Control Room Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience monitoring operations, managing incidents, coordinating with multiple teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day activities from a central control room.
As a Control Room Officer, you will play an important role in supporting operational efficiency, safety, and communication across the organization. You will be responsible for monitoring fleet movements, tracking operational activities, responding to alerts, and ensuring that any issues are addressed quickly and effectively.
The successful candidate should be highly organized, attentive to detail, and capable of making sound decisions in a time-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fleet movements, vehicle tracking systems, CCTV cameras, alarms, and operational systems in real time.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, operational disruptions, and system alerts.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers, operations teams, security personnel, and management.
- Record and report incidents, operational concerns, safety issues, and unusual activities.
- Ensure that all incidents and operational matters are accurately documented and reported.
- Escalate urgent issues to the appropriate departments and management without delay.
- Support emergency response procedures and assist in coordinating actions during critical situations.
- Monitor operational performance and help ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and shift reports.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines at all times.
Requirements
- Diploma Degree or equivalent qualification.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a Control Room, Operations Centre, Security Control Room, Fleet Monitoring Centre, Dispatch Centre, or a similar role.
- Good communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience working with CCTV systems, alarm monitoring systems, vehicle tracking systems, and fleet monitoring platforms.
- Strong observation, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience will be given preference:
- Fleet monitoring and vehicle tracking operations.
- Transportation, mobility, or logistics operations.
- Security monitoring and surveillance systems.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures.
- Emergency response and incident management.
- Basic IT knowledge and cybersecurity awareness.
- Experience working in transportation, mobility services, vehicle rental, or fleet management environments.
