Full-Time Urgent Qatar Hiring: Environment Manager for Construction and MEP Projects
Job Description
We’re currently looking for an experienced Environment Manager to join our team in Qatar. If you’ve worked on infrastructure or MEP projects and understand how to balance compliance, sustainability, and real-world site challenges, this could be a great fit for you.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for all environmental matters on site—making sure everything runs in line with local regulations, client requirements, and international standards, while also helping the team adopt smarter and more sustainable practices.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll take the lead on environmental management across project sites, working closely with engineers, HSE teams, and stakeholders. Your day-to-day will include:
- Setting up and managing Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in line with ISO standards
- Making sure all site activities meet Qatar environmental regulations and HSE requirements
- Carrying out environmental impact and risk assessments
- Monitoring site operations to ensure proper waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices
- Running environmental audits and inspections and keeping everything documented properly
- Preparing reports, permits, and compliance documents for internal and external use
- Supporting teams on-site with practical guidance to improve environmental performance
- Investigating any environmental issues and putting corrective actions in place
- Delivering basic awareness sessions so everyone on site understands environmental responsibilities
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Around 8–15 years of hands-on experience, ideally within infrastructure or MEP projects
- Good understanding of environmental laws, HSE systems, and ISO standards (especially ISO 14001)
- Experience handling audits, compliance, and reporting
- Confidence in working with teams, consultants, and authorities
- Professional certifications like NEBOSH or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are a plus
- GCC experience is preferred
- Someone who can join immediately or on short notice
