Job Description
We’re on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Draftsman who enjoys turning engineering ideas into clear, accurate drawings. If you have hands-on experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and piping system design, and you take pride in getting the details right, this could be a great fit for you.
In this role, you’ll be working closely with engineers and project teams to create mechanical drawings, piping layouts, and P&ID diagrams that support real-world industrial and construction projects. Your work will directly contribute to how projects are built and delivered.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create detailed mechanical and piping drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
- Develop and update P&ID diagrams based on project requirements
- Turn sketches and engineering concepts into clear technical drawings
- Work closely with engineers to make sure designs are accurate and practical
- Review drawings, identify clashes, and make necessary corrections
- Follow industry standards (ISO, ASME, ANSI) and internal guidelines
- Prepare material lists (BOM) and assist with basic project documentation
- Update drawings as projects progress and support with as-built drawings when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, CAD Draftsman, or Piping Draftsman
- Strong skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (2D & 3D)
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, piping layouts, and P&ID standards
- Ability to handle basic mechanical or structural calculations
- Familiarity with oil & gas, industrial, or construction projects is a plus
- Knowledge of materials, valves, and piping components
- A sharp eye for detail and a practical approach to problem-solving
- Someone who can manage deadlines and work well in a team
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting
- Experience with Plant 3D, PDMS, or E3D
- Exposure to HVAC or MEP drafting
