Job Description
We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC systems, chilled water systems, plumbing, drainage, fire protection systems, and chiller plant operations. The ideal candidate should be confident in handling day-to-day maintenance activities, supervising technical teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of building systems and mechanical equipment.
This role is suitable for candidates who have worked on commercial buildings, residential towers, shopping malls, hospitals, industrial facilities, hotels, or infrastructure projects and have hands-on experience in facilities management and MEP maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise maintenance activities for HVAC systems, plumbing, drainage, fire protection systems, and chilled water systems
• Monitor the operation and maintenance of chillers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, and other mechanical equipment
• Plan and follow preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
• Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance or operational issues
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, technicians, contractors, and suppliers
• Troubleshoot mechanical system problems and support technical teams with practical solutions
• Ensure all maintenance works are completed according to safety standards and company procedures
• Prepare maintenance reports, service records, and technical documentation
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements when required
• Support emergency maintenance activities when needed
• Ensure smooth operation of facility systems and minimize equipment downtime
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical systems
• Strong experience in HVAC systems, chilled water systems, plumbing, drainage, fire protection systems, and chiller plants
• Good knowledge of preventive maintenance and building maintenance operations
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to supervise teams and manage maintenance activities efficiently
• Good communication and reporting abilities
• Mechanical Engineer with UPDA Grade “C” preferred
• GCC/Qatar experience will be an added advantage
• Candidates with transferable visa/NOC and immediate joining availability are preferred
