Full-Time Hiring Now: Accountant | Odoo ERP and Cost Accounting Experience Required
Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team and play an important role in managing our financial operations and supporting business growth.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in the FMCG or manufacturing industry who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have hands-on experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory management, ERP systems, and tax compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Cost Accounting & Profitability Analysis
- Monitor and analyze the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), manufacturing costs, and distribution expenses.
- Review product and brand profitability and provide insights to improve margins and business performance.
- Prepare cost analysis reports and support management with accurate financial information for decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Ensure inventory records in the ERP system match physical stock counts.
- Monitor stock movements and inventory ageing reports.
- Manage provisions for slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, and expired inventory.
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to maintain accurate inventory records and improve stock control processes.
Financial Reporting & General Ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports accurately and on time.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all accounting transactions are properly recorded.
- Handle journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare reports for management review.
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Monitor customer collections and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Process vendor payments and manage supplier reconciliations.
- Review trade discounts, promotional rebates, and distributor account reconciliations.
- Help maintain healthy cash flow and ensure all financial obligations are met on time.
Tax Compliance & Audits
- Prepare and manage VAT, Sales Tax, and Corporate Tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing financial schedules and supporting documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and recommend improvements where necessary.
ERP & Process Improvement
- Use ERP systems, preferably Odoo, to record transactions and generate financial reports.
- Ensure financial data is accurate and up to date.
- Identify areas for process improvement and support initiatives that enhance efficiency and financial controls.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including at least 1–2 years in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, inventory accounting, taxation, and general ledger management.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and financial reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CA Inter will be considered an added advantage.
