We are currently hiring a skilled and proactive Planning Engineer to join our team for a prestigious opportunity in the plant sector in Saudi Arabia.
As a Planning Engineer (Maintenance Planner), you will play an important role in keeping plant operations running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities, coordinating shutdowns, managing resources, and ensuring equipment reliability while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for plant equipment and facilities.
- Prepare detailed maintenance plans, shutdown schedules, and turnaround programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Create work packages, job plans, resource requirements, and execution timelines for maintenance activities.
- Coordinate closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure the timely execution of maintenance work.
- Utilize SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) for work order management, maintenance planning, reporting, and tracking maintenance history.
- Monitor maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and plant efficiency.
- Review technical documents, engineering drawings, and equipment manuals to develop effective maintenance strategies.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Prepare maintenance reports, progress updates, and performance indicators to support management decision-making.
- Participate in shutdown meetings, maintenance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. A relevant engineering diploma may also be considered.
- Professional certification in Planning and Scheduling (CPSP or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, Maintenance Planner, or Shutdown Planner in industrial plants.
- Hands-on experience in plant maintenance, oil and gas facilities, petrochemical plants, manufacturing plants, refineries, power plants, or heavy industrial environments will be highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP PM and maintenance management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics tools is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Arabic language skills will be considered a plus.
