Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Control Design Engineer to join a prestigious Saudi ARAMCO project in Khurais, Saudi Arabia.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in instrumentation engineering, control systems design, industrial automation, and electrical engineering who are eager to contribute to large-scale energy projects while advancing their careers in one of the world’s leading industries.
Your Responsibilities
As an Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of control systems and instrumentation solutions for industrial projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing instrumentation and control engineering designs and technical documentation.
- Developing control philosophies, loop diagrams, instrument specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Performing electrical, instrumentation, and control system calculations using industry-standard engineering software.
- Designing and supporting PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Reviewing engineering deliverables and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.
- Providing technical support throughout design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Ensuring all work complies with Saudi ARAMCO requirements and internationally accepted engineering standards.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this position, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the User Organization.
- Professional licensure or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control design software and engineering calculation tools.
- A thorough understanding of international engineering and construction codes and standards, including:
- International Fire Code (IFC)
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience as an Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer in a design and engineering office environment.
- Previous experience in oil and gas projects, industrial automation, EPC projects, petrochemical plants, or Saudi ARAMCO projects will be highly preferred.
