Job Description
We’re currently looking for an experienced Estimation & Tendering Engineer who understands how to turn project requirements into accurate, competitive, and winning bids. If you’ve worked on construction, infrastructure, or O&M projects—especially in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf—this could be a great opportunity to grow your career.
In this role, you’ll be at the centre of the bidding process, working closely with technical teams, suppliers, and management to ensure every proposal is both technically sound and commercially strong.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take ownership of the tendering process from start to finish. This includes carefully reviewing tender documents, drawings, and BOQs, and preparing detailed cost estimates that reflect real market conditions.
You’ll coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather competitive quotations, analyse risks and cost factors, and build pricing strategies that improve our chances of winning projects while maintaining profitability.
You’ll also be involved in pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and final submissions—making sure everything is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a solid engineering background and hands-on experience in estimation and tendering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Around 5+ years of experience in estimation, tendering, or cost engineering
- Strong exposure to construction, renovation, or O&M projects
- Experience working on government tenders is a big plus
Must-Have Experience
- Practical experience in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region
- Good understanding of government procurement systems and tendering processes
- Hands-on experience using the Etihad platform
- Strong knowledge of local market costs, including materials, labour, and regulations
Skills That Will Help You Succeed
You should be comfortable working with numbers, analysing data, and making decisions based on cost and value.
- Strong cost estimation and pricing skills
- Ability to prepare detailed BOQs and rate analysis
- A clear understanding of client requirements and how to convert them into strong proposals
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel for costing and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple tenders without missing deadlines
Added Advantages
- Experience building or managing cost databases
- Background in pricing long-term O&M or facility management contracts
- Familiarity with ERP or estimation software tools
