We are currently looking for an experienced Safety Officer who is SABIC approved to join our team for ongoing industrial and construction projects in Saudi Arabia. This role is suitable for safety professionals who are passionate about maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices on project sites.
The selected candidate will help ensure that all work activities are carried out safely and in line with SABIC safety standards, HSE regulations, and project safety procedures. This position requires someone who is proactive, attentive to site conditions, and capable of guiding workers and supervisors on safe work practices.

About the Role
As a SABIC Approved Safety Officer, your main responsibility will be to help maintain a safe working environment across the project site. You will monitor daily activities, identify potential hazards, and ensure that all workers follow approved safety procedures.
You will also work closely with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers to make sure that safety guidelines are understood and followed at every stage of the project. The role includes conducting site safety inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to help prevent accidents and maintain a strong safety culture.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of risk awareness, clear communication, and consistent safety supervision on active project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring Site Safety
- Observe daily work activities to ensure compliance with SABIC safety requirements and HSE standards
- Make sure all work is performed according to the permit-to-work system and approved safety procedures
- Identify potential hazards and take steps to reduce or eliminate risks
Safety Inspections
- Carry out regular site safety inspections and hazard checks
- Monitor high-risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, lifting operations, electrical work, and working at height
- Ensure workers are using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Safety Awareness
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings before work begins
- Encourage workers to follow safe work practices at all times
- Help create a strong safety culture across the project team
Incident Reporting
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents to management
- Assist with basic incident investigations when needed
- Keep records of safety inspections, reports, and site safety documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- SABIC approval as Safety Officer (mandatory)
- Previous experience working as a Safety Officer on construction or industrial projects
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Experience conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and safety briefings
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with project teams
- Ability to guide workers and supervisors on safe working practices
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an advantage:
- SABIC industrial or construction projects
- Petrochemical plants or industrial facilities
- Construction site safety supervision
- Permit-to-work systems and risk management
- Industrial safety inspections and compliance
