Job Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Sustainability Engineer to support an ongoing project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will work closely with the Project Sustainability Manager and project stakeholders to ensure sustainability requirements are effectively implemented throughout the project. The role involves reviewing sustainability-related documentation, assessing construction materials, supporting carbon assessment activities, and helping the project meet its environmental and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities
As a Sustainability Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting project sustainability goals through a range of technical and administrative activities, including:
- Assisting the Project Sustainability Manager in reviewing Sustainability Material Approval Transmittals (MATs).
- Reviewing sustainability-related material submissions before forwarding them to the PMC and Consultant for approval.
- Supporting project sustainability assessments and environmental compliance requirements.
- Assisting with carbon footprint calculations and sustainability performance evaluations.
- Reviewing construction materials to ensure compliance with sustainability standards and project specifications.
- Evaluating sustainability documentation, environmental declarations, and supporting technical submissions.
- Providing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) results for AGC-supplied products used within the PA Apron Project.
- Coordinating with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams on sustainability-related matters.
- Supporting sustainability reporting and documentation requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contributing to initiatives that improve environmental performance and promote sustainable construction practices.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in sustainability engineering, environmental consultancy, green building projects, or sustainable construction.
- A good understanding of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, and construction industry practices.
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and carbon assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with sustainability certification systems such as LEED, Mostadam, BREEAM, WELL, or similar frameworks will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- The ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with project teams.
