Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team in Saudi Arabia.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining financial accuracy, supporting project operations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. As part of our finance team, you will play an important role in managing the company’s day-to-day accounting activities while helping support the successful delivery of construction and contracting projects.
We are looking for a professional who brings strong accounting expertise, excellent organizational skills, and hands-on experience within the construction or contracting sector.
Your Key Responsibilities
As our Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting activities, including:
- Managing daily accounting transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Recording financial data and ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
- Preparing monthly financial statements, management reports, and project cost reports.
- Monitoring project expenses and comparing actual costs against approved budgets.
- Assisting management with financial analysis and cost control measures.
- Preparing customer invoices and processing payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Following up on outstanding payments and supporting collection activities.
- Performing regular bank reconciliations and ensuring financial records remain accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining organized accounting documentation and supporting financial audits.
- Ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian accounting regulations and company financial policies.
- Managing VAT-related activities, including VAT filing and reporting requirements.
- Supporting compliance with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Working closely with project teams to monitor financial performance and project profitability.
- Supporting internal and external auditors by preparing the required financial documents and reports.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of accounting experience, preferably within contracting, construction, engineering, or project-based industries.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, project accounting, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with accounting and ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Odoo, or similar software.
- A solid understanding of Saudi VAT regulations and ZATCA requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience preparing detailed financial reports.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different departments.
