We’re currently looking to bring on board a skilled and detail-focused Estimation Engineer (Tendering) for an exciting project in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you’ll be an important part of the project team—helping to build competitive bids, control costs, and ensure every tender submission is clear, complete, and well-prepared.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Estimation Engineer, your day-to-day work will revolve around understanding project requirements and turning them into clear, accurate cost plans. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
- Creating unit rates and pricing based on real project data and market trends
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and BOQs to fully understand the project scope
- Carefully going through tender documents to ensure nothing is missed
- Putting together complete technical and commercial proposals
- Carrying out quantity take-offs and verifying all measurements
- Checking BOQs and identifying any missing or unclear items
- Comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes to find the most practical and cost-effective options
- Finalising overall project costs and pricing strategies
- Spotting possible risks related to cost, timelines, or materials
- Working closely with procurement and project teams to gather accurate inputs
- Using estimation software tools to improve speed and accuracy
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised, and comfortable working with project data and deadlines. Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Civil, Mechanical, or a related engineering field
- Previous experience as an Estimation Engineer or Tendering Engineer
- Solid understanding of construction estimation, BOQ preparation, and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documents
- Hands-on experience with estimation software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience working on EPC or large-scale construction projects
- Familiarity with Saudi market pricing and standards
- Knowledge of risk analysis and commercial terms
- Ability to manage multiple tenders at the same time
